Stroy Board

  1. This is our story board for our media project. This shows the main frames we plan to involve in the music video we are planning to make.

The top two shots on the left picture are intended to be the setting shots, these shall be taken far away and them we shall zoom in to the barn to bring the barn into focus.

The next shot is a medium length shot that will give us the first viewing of our main female character. We then switch to a point of view shot that will first introduce our main male character.

The two shots at the bottom of the sheet on the left is when we separate the character, you can see them together on the left, and then only one face on the shot too the right, this is our main tow shots in the whole video as it will show them separating which is the main part of our narrative.

  2. For the sheet on the right

The top two shots are intended to be the first realisation that Joe has disappeared and are showing our female character walking around in disillusion looking for her friend. Fir the top frame on the left we are going to use a shot behind the character at eye level to get some perspective but still being able to see our character. Our female character will be look and see Joe (the male character) who himself is looking in a different direction, she will walk towards him for him to only walk off without seeing her, this will add to her frustration further, in the second frame on the top row our female character will be giving out very negative and depressed body language such as slumped shoulders. This is to show depressions she is experiencing.

The next two shots will be a close up of our female characters face and will show the confusion and despair of her situation the close up is going to be utilised to fully show her facial expression and pain.

The final shot will be a very surreal shot where the audience is meant to think whether or not what is happening is real. Basically the tow shots are meant to be a construct of our female characters mind where from her grieve she is imaging that Joe is still with her sitting right next to her, however he is not so we will switch from the real to the surreal he will be there and he will not this will be done through editing. We shall film two separate shots where she is there on her own and where she is there with him, we will then layer over one clip with the next and chop and change to give it the feeling of him disappearing.
